Individual Counseling
I believe that each person has inherent strengths, autonomy, and skills that can be utilized to create positive change in their lives. My role as a counselor is to support and guide you in recognizing and developing these internal resources, while providing a safe and non-judgmental space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings. By fostering a collaborative and empowering therapeutic relationship, I aim to help you build confidence, resilience, and a sense of agency in your own growth and development. Together, we work towards identifying and achieving your goals, while respecting your individual experiences, values, and choices.Â

While traditional talk therapy is used, I also incorporate expressive arts and sandtray work with individuals. Sandtray therapy is a type of therapy that involves using a tray filled with sand and miniature objects to create a three-dimensional representation of a person’s inner world.
Sandtray allows adults to express themselves in a non-verbal way, which can be especially helpful for those who may struggle to articulate their emotions or experiences verbally. The use of miniature objects in sandtray therapy allows adults to create symbolic representations of their inner world. This can provide insight into unconscious thoughts, feelings, and experiences that may be difficult to access through traditional talk therapy. Sandtray therapy can address the emotional, psychological, and physical aspects of a person’s experience, making it a holistic and integrated form of therapy. It can be tailored to meet the specific needs and goals of each individual. It can be used as a standalone intervention or incorporated into traditional talk therapy sessions. Sandtray therapy can be a highly effective tool for adults, providing a safe and supportive space to explore their inner world and promote personal growth and healing.
